Pease District Park Austin
Austin, TX’s Pease District Park is a wonderful place to take your dog for some fun on the trails. This park is located on Shoal Creek and it’s across from Zilker Park so there are plenty of other activities available as well such as Barton Springs Pool, Austin Nature & Science Center, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and more!
The trail system at Pease District Park is about three miles long because of all the different trails that are available. The park also has a dog park inside it which can be accessed from Lady Bird Lake Trail or Shoal Creek Blvd. Many people enjoy camping, fishing, and bird watching in this beautiful area as well!

Besides the beauty of this park, it also features a historic cabin that was relocated here when the town decided to extend Southwest Parkway through part of what was once Pease Park. What to bring when visiting the park?
Picnic blanket (check the weather before you go) and a hat for sun protection. A picnic basket filled with snacks, drinks, and sandwiches to enjoy at your leisure throughout the day.
Good walking shoes if you plan on hiking around or walking through trails in the park as well sunscreen and bug spray during warmer months of April to October.
A camera or smartphone to take pictures of memories that will last a lifetime. Your family and friends!
